Print layout windows

Windows used with print layouts:

Print layout editor window,
New print layout entry window.

All of these windows are opened from the Print layouts panel.

Editor window

The Print layout editor window is opened by the Edit command from the context menu.

The window contains Properties and Print panels.

Properties panel fields:

Based on — print layout from which the print layout inherits its properties.

Selection is made in the Select print layout
window.
Language — language of the print layout. Required field.

Selection is made in the Select language window.

The OK button saves changes. The Cancel button closes the window without saving changes.

Entry window

The New print layout window is opened by the Add command from the context menu.

The fields and panels are the same as in the Print layout window.

The Print layouts panel is used to manage the print layouts (templates) used by the software module print format.

Data grid columns:

Language — language of the print layout.
Based on — print layout from which the print layout inherits its properties.

Context menu commands:

Add (Ins) — add a new print layout.
Edit (F2) — view and edit selected print layout.

This command is only available when one print layout is selected.
Delete (Del) — permanently delete selected print layouts.
Print (Ctrl+P) — print out.
Summary functions — contains commands for displaying statistical summaries of column data.
Additional functions — contains additional commands for working with data grids.

The New print layout is used to add a new print layout. The Print layout window is used for editing.

The permanent delete confirmation prompt is used when deleting print layouts.

Print panel in the Print layout window

The Print panel is used to create, view and edit the print layout used for print output.

When the window is opened, the Print panel does not display the print layout because the layout must first be populated with selected data using a filter.

The panel contains the Update button, which opens a menu with the Update command. This opens the filter which is used to select data with which to populate the print layout.

The Design command in the panel context menu is used to edit the print layout.
