Menu group windows
Windows used with menu groups:
These windows are opened from the and directories.
The editor windows are used to edit parameters of one or more existing menu groups.
Editor window
The
window is used to edit a single menu group.The window is opened by the and windows when one menu group is selected, or by the command when one menu group shortcut is selected.
command in the context menu of theThe window contains the Properties and Picture panels.
Properties panel fields:

Parent group — name of the group above the current group in the menu hierarchy.
If this field is empty, the group is a top-level group.
To move a group to the top level, select (empty) in the drop-down list. This will clear the value in the field.

Name — name of the group. Required field.
The name of the group is displayed in the terminal menu.
Group names can be used to group information in printed reports.

Description — brief description.

Button format — format of the button used to select the menu group in the terminal menu.
Selection is made in the window.
Button format can be used when the GridButton parameter in the terminal configuration is set to True.

Security category — Security category for the menu group. Required field.
Selection is made in the window.
The security category defines which users have access to menu items and menu item shortcuts in the group.
In order for users to be able to access the menu group, the security category for the group must be included in the access settings for their user role.

Selection code — code for quick selection in the terminal menu.

Index — incremental value which determines the position of the group in the terminal menu.
The default value entered by the system is displayed in black type. If it is changed from the default, it will be displayed in green type.
The index parameter can be used to place the most popular groups higher up in the menu, making them easier to access at the terminal.

For sale — defines whether items in the group can be sold independently.
The value is selected from No or Yes.
If No is selected, the group will not be displayed and will not be available for selection on the terminal. This is typically used for groups containing modifiers that are not to be sold separately.

Exclude from sale — temporarily removes group from the terminal menu, making the items and any subgroups contained in it unavailable for selection.
The value is selected from No or Yes.
If Yes is selected, the menu group will not be available for selection on the terminal.
Note
In order to exclude a group from sale in specific divisions or on specific terminals, use menu exclusions in the directory, or in mode on a Tillypad XL POS terminal.
Selecting

The multiple menu groups editor window is opened by the and windows when more than one menu group is selected, or by the command when more than one menu group shortcut is selected.

The panels and fields are the same as in the editor window.
When multiple menu groups are selected for editing, any changes that are saved will be applied to all of the selected menu groups.
