Tables

In the process of providing services in an enterprise, various equipment is used, including tables, cinema chair, bowling track, pool table, sports equipment etc. All these are collectively called tables.

It is useful to have quick access to the information on free and reserved tables, as well as table statuses.

The system allows you to store information on tables, table types and current table statuses (vacant, occupied, awaiting settlement etc.).

Information on tables is contained in the Tables directory.

Tables can be joined into groups (restaurant tables, pool tables). Table group can have a seating and device layout, that displays table and device locations in the room (restaurant layout, pool room layout etc.)

In Tillypad XL POS table location and statuses are displayed on the terminal which allows terminal operators to choose tables on the plan and perform various operations (create and edit guest tabs, allocate bills etc.) Current statuses of tables and devices in any room can be displayed on the seating and device layout that can be opened on the manager's work place using the Monitoring command.

Each table can be assigned a number. Numbers are used to work with tables and guest tabs lists in the Waiter, Cashier and Administrator modes of Tillypad XL POS. Numbers are not displayed on the layout.

Note

It is best to enter unique numbers within a division.

In Tillypad XL POS, statuses are displayed graphically on the layout. Available statuses and images are contained in the Table types directory.

Tables can have short names that will be displayed on seating layouts and in tables and guest tabs panes.

When a guest tab is opened, the guest is assigned to a table in the table list or on the seating layout opened from the terminal. The table number is entered in the guest tab. If several guests are served together, a unified guest tab can be opened for them that will contain all their seats (a table for 4 people).

Any privilege assigned to the table will apply to all guest tabs opened on that table. If the table has an auto-order, menu items included into this auto-order are automatically added to the guest tab.

Note

All privileges set for division, for guest tab, for the table are included into the guest tab. But if auto-orders are set for both the division and the table, the guest tab will only include the auto-order specified for the table.
