Privilege sales rules

Sales rules define the types of discounts and guest tab privileges that are used to provide discounts, and also the periods in time when different privileges are applied to sales of menu items.

Sales rules are stored in the Sales rules directory. The viewer window for the directory displays a list of sales rules which are associated with discount types. The periods during which privileges are applied are defined in the specification of each sales rule.

The list of sales rules can be filtered by the privileges that they apply to. This is achieved using the Privilege sales rules operational report, which is an alternative means of displaying the list of sales rules. Changes to the list of sales rules can be made in either the Sales rules directory or in the Privilege sales rules operational report window.
