Stores
A store is a location where stock items are held. Each physical stock location (from central warehouses to cellars, pantries, fridges behind bars, etc.) is represented by a store in the directory in Tillypad XL.
The
system records storekeeping procedures carried out with stock items:-
stock-in — receipt of goods to the store, registered using .

stock-out — release of goods from the store, registered using .

transfer — movement of goods between stores within an enterprise, registered using .

production — preparation of new stock items from other stock items (from ingredients), registered using .

butchering — cutting up a carcase or large cut of meat into smaller cuts, registered using .

stocktaking — physical counting of stock items in store, comparison with theoretical counts, reconciliation of actual and theoretical stock levels, registered using .

adjustment — correction of theoretical stock levels to reconcile them with actual stock levels (to account for wastage, shrinkage, etc.), registered using .

sales — correction of stock levels to account for goods sold to customers, registered using .

development — experimental recipe development to calculate quantities of ingredients and refine preparation methods, registered using .
Each store can have a list of stock item concurrences (see directory).
Each store must belong to a store group (see directory). All the stores in a store group share the same procedures for processing stock-in and stock-out operations and calculation of cost prices and purchase prices. Stock transfers can only be made between stores in the same group. Transfer of stock between stores in different groups can only be carried out using stock-out and stock-in operations.
