Price schedules

Price schedules allow menu items to be sold at different prices depending on the time of day.

A price schedule is a series of intervals throughout the day during which menu items can be sold at different prices or removed from sale altogether.

For example, different types of beer could automatically be rung up with various discounts during happy hour, or an all-day breakfast could be sold at a higher price after midday.

A price schedule can be used to automatically remove all alcoholic drinks from sale outside licensing hours.

Price schedules are managed in the Price schedules directory.

If a menu item has a price schedule, its price will vary depending on the price schedule configuration for the time interval during which it is added to an order.

Price schedules are used with menu items, draft menu items and their shortcuts.

If a menu item shortcut is added to an order, then the price will be defined by the shortcut defined for that price schedule. If the shortcut does not have a price schedule, it will inherit the price schedule properties of the menu item it represents.

Price schedules apply to specified intervals and day types.

Attention

Before a price schedule will take effect, it must first be added to a day type specification and the day types must be configured for the division for the required period.
