Deletions from orders with wastage

When taking orders at a terminal, situations can arise where it is necessary to delete (void) an order or items in an order. Such operations are subject to particular control and are displayed in the Restricted terminal operations report. In order for a waiter to carry out an order void, an employee with sufficient user permissions is required to confirm the operation (for example, the restaurant floor manager).

A reason must be specified for each deleted order item. The reasons that can be specified are defined in the Reasons for restricted terminal operations directory.

The stock items associated with menu items that are deleted from orders with wastage are included in sales records. Either the entire dish will be deducted from stock, or its ingredient stock items will be deducted. This depends on the specified recipe mode in sales records: stock items are deducted according to the stock item concurrence specified in the Stock items directory, or together with their recipe ingredients, or according to the operator's choice.

Note

In order for a stock item to be deducted from store and included in a sales record, the menu item deleted from the order must have the Stock item class. I.e. simple services and timed services (even if they are deleted from orders with a reason that has the Wastage attribute) are not deducted from store and are not included in sales records.

The Deletions from orders with wastage report displays a list of menu items that were deleted from orders at terminals with resulting wastage of their associated stock items.

The Deletions from orders with wastage report displays only menu items that were deleted in Tillypad XL POS. Deletions carried out in Tillypad XL Manager are not included in this report. However, in Tillypad XL Manager changes can be made to this report.
