Use hot keys and keyboard shortcuts to select items in selection fields.
v8.22 Changed - Selection field previously selected values
Selection fields now also contain values that have recently been selected in the equivalent selection field in any other window. Up to 16 values are stored, with the most recently selected appearing at the top. Values representing deleted objects or objects that the user does not have access to are not displayed.

Selection fields

Selection fields are used to select elements from specific locations (directories).

Selection field

Clicking the button at the far right of the selection field or pressing Ctrl + v opens the corresponding selection window.

The selection field is opened by clicking the button, or pressing the left Alt key and the down arrow together on the keyboard while the cursor is in the selection field.

Selection field opened

If the field is not a required field, it will have an (empty) option. Selecting this option removes any previously entered value.

If selections have previously been made in the field (i.e. when entering a number of elements in succession using the same entry window), it will contain a list of up to 16 recent selections. In this case, Champagne was recently selected in this field.

The list also contains values recently selected in the equivalent field in other windows.

The select... option also opens the selection window.

Selection can also be made using inline search if you know at least part of the name of the element you want to select.

To use inline search, click in the form field and start typing any part of the name of the required element at the cursor.

When the required element appears in the list, select it by clicking on it, or by highlighting it using the arrow keys and pressing Enter.
