Filter windows

Filter windows are used for step-by-step configuration of filter parameters used for selecting data to be displayed in document lists and reports.

Filters can have any number of steps in which filter criteria are selected. Each filter step narrows down the final selection of data.

Filter window

The button is used to save and retrieve filter criteria.

The <Back and Next> buttons are used to navigate back and forth through filter steps.

At the final step of the filter, the Next> button is replaced by the Finish button

Clicking Finish closes the filter window and opens the document list or report window displaying data selected using the specified filter parameters.

Filtered document list with Filter panel

The Filter panel displays the selected filter parameters, each in its own pane, where the header contains the name of the parameter and the pane contains the filter criteria selected for that parameter.

Clicking a pane header will open the filter window at the corresponding step of the filter, allowing changes to be made starting from that step. Criteria selected in previous steps are retained.

If a filter opened in this way is not at the final step but configured parameters allow it to be applied immediately, a Finish button will be added to the left of the <Back button. This allows the filter to be reapplied immediately without repeating all the subsequent steps.
