IDs used with Tillypad XL can be magnetic stripe cards, smart cards, barcodes etc.

The types of IDs used are managed in the ID types directory.

The types of IDs required for working with the system depend on the technologies used in the enterprise. You can use employee and client IDs, temporary visitor IDs and external client IDs.

IDs are used to log employees in to <xi:include></xi:include> and to identify clients, external system clients and clients in the club service system.

IDs must be contained in groups. Groups are used to organise the directory contents. Security categories are specified at group level to limit access to the IDs contained within them.

ID groups can be managed in the IDs directory and also in the ID groups directory.
