Stock item unit of measurement group combines stock item units of measurement, which can be converted into each other using ratios. As a rule, one unit of measurement in a group is chosen as the base unit. Its ratio is always 1
. Recalculation ratios for other units of measurement are referred to the base one. For example, if kilogram
is chosen as the base unit of measurement, the recalculation ratio for gram
will be 0.001
. The base unit of measurement is not necessarily a part of the group. For example, a group is composed of dozen
(with the ratio of 12
) and ten
(with the ratio of 10
) units, while there is no unit of measurement with the ratio of 1
.
Unit of measurement groups cannot contain second-level unit of measurement groups. Stock item units of measurement belonging to one group are absolutely independent of units of measurement from other groups.
The list of units of measurement is available in the data grid of the and directories.
Changes made in the directory are reflected in the directory and vice versa.
