Points of sale are equipped with devices (POS terminals, PDAs etc.) that are used for client service and selling menu items: billing, authorisation and fiscal registration of payments, printing documents and reports, etc.

Tillypad XL POS enables the user to serve clients in different modes: a fast food outlet, restaurant, club, etc. Each mode has a set of functions, which must be enabled on the POS terminal. Therefore, Tillypad XL has the following preconfigured modes:

Any standard mode can be used as a basis for configuring the POS terminal in such a way to take into account the enterprise profile and employees functions (a waiter, cashier, administrator). A set of company POS terminal modes can be created by changing parameters of the preconfigured modes.

An employee's access rights define whether the employee can work on the POS terminal in a certain mode of operation. POS terminal modes, information displayed in viewer windows and operations that the employee has access to are specified when configuring the employee's user role.

Only one user logged in to the system can work on the terminal simultaneously.
