Certain operations carried out on POS terminals require extra attention, since they can lead to financial losses if they are carried out incorrectly or with malicious intent.
To avoid such losses, these operations are logged. In Tillypad XL these operations are referred to as .
Restricted POS terminal operations are as follows:
deletion (voiding) of menu items and timed services from orders
voiding orders and guest tabs
modification of guest tabs (number of customers, tables, promotion categories, employees)
splitting guest tabs
reprinting bills
voiding payment and its specification
These operations are controlled by management and can only be carried out with the authorisation of an employee with appropriate user privileges. Reasons for carrying out such operations are contained in the operational report. To make a restricted operation available in the report, necessary settings must be made in applicable modes of the POS terminal.
A reason must be given when carrying out any restricted POS terminal operation. The reasons that can be specified are defined in the directory.
Order voids in which menu items are deleted from orders and their associated stock items are deducted from stock as wastage are logged in the operational report.
The
report is read-only.It is populated automatically when restricted operations (deletion of guest tabs, orders or order items; changes made to guest tabs; splitting guest tabs; reprinting bills and voiding payments) are carried out on POS terminals.
The report enables to open the remote view window and windows with changes.
