Sales settings define the rules by which menu items are sold from POS terminals. The settings also determine the manner in which these sales are recorded. If menu items (dishes or goods) belong to the Stock item class, sales settings will also determine which stores the stock items will be deducted from and on which printer the kitchen tickets will be printed.

Sales settings are defined in the Sales settings directory.

A sales setting allows the user to specify only one menu concurrence and one sales department. Several such relationships between concurrences and sales departments can be specified for one POS terminal within the context of a single sales setting.

For example, in a restaurant sales of meals are assigned to the department No.1, while sales of piece goods - to the department No.2. Therefore, sales settings for POS terminals can be used to assign the concurrence that groups meals to the department No.1 and the concurrence to sell piece goods - to the department No.2.

A payment setting for POS terminals is selected in the Devices directory.

Sales settings are used by Tillypad XL POS .
