Stock item purchase price is an average price at which a stock item is bought during a certain period of time.

Stock item purchase price can be recalculated on the basis of the amount of stock items on the store of the selected store group over a certain period of time. The required recalculation interval is specified in the Store groups directory.

The Purchase price operational report contains the information on stock items purchase prices by store groups. The operational report contains only those stock items for which the purchase price was calculated.

Purchase prices are presented in the report viewing window for the amount of stock items expressed in their basic units of measurement. The window also displays purchase prices for all remaining units of measurement of the same group, which are found using recalculation ratios.

Stock item purchase prices are used to calculate purchase prices of associated menu items.
