Additional promotion categories panel in the Guest tab window

Additional promotion categories are used together with the principal promotion categories when calculating the guest tab total. The principal promotion category is specified on the Properties panel. All promotion categories included in the guest tab are taken into account when calculating discounts, markups, and points according to applicable promotion types.

The Additional promotion categories panel is used to manage additional promotion categories on the guest tab.

Data grid columns:

  • Promotion category is the additional promotion category added to the guest tab specification.

    If any promotion category is assigned to the division, it is automatically added to the list of promotion categories for a guest tab created in this division. A promotion category can also be entered manually. Discounts, markups, and points are calculated on the basis of the main promotion category specified in the Properties panel and all categories specified in the list according to applicable promotion types.

  • Guest tab designates the number of the guest tab.

The specification context menu contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds an additional promotion category to the guest tab specification.

    The command is available only for guest tabs with the Open or Open for changes status.

  • Edit / View (F2) – edits or displays the additional promotion categories included in the guest tab specification.

    This command is only available in a populated specification. The Edit command is available only for guest tabs with the Open or Open for changes status. The View command is only available for guest tabs with the In payment or Closed status.

  • Delete (Del) – permanently deletes the additional promotion categories from the guest tab specification.

    The command is available only for guest tabs with the Open or Open for changes status.

  • Status – menu with the commands to alter the document status.

    When you select one or more documents with the same status, their current status will not be available in the context menu. When you select documents with different statuses, all possible statuses will be available in the context menu.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

The New additional guest tab promotion category and New additional guest tab promotion categories entry windows are used to add new additional promotion categories to the guest tab specification.

The Additional guest tab promotion category and Additional guest tab promotion categories windows are used for editing promotion categories.

The Additional guest tab promotion category and Additional guest tab promotion categories windows are used for viewing promotion categories of guest tabs with the Closed status.

A permanent delete confirmation prompt appears when you delete guest tab promotion categories. Only promotion categories of guest tabs with the Open or Open for changes status can be deleted.

A guest tab with the status In payment or Closed cannot be edited. In this case, the promotion category specification items become read-only, and the Edit command in the context menu is replaced with the View command.
