Payment methods

Revision History

Payment methods are the means by which clients pay for meals, goods, and services on the POS terminal.

Each payment method in the system should belong to a group. Payment method groups cannot contain subgroups.

For cash payment methods, you can specify denominations of notes and coins.

The Payment methods directory allows you to manage payment methods used in settlements with customers, as well as payment method denominations and payment method groups. Operations on payment method groups can be performed in both the Payment methods and the Payment method groups directories.

Payment methods are used in payment settings, which are configured in the Payment settings directory. These payment settings must be specified in the attributes of devices that are used as POS terminals. The specified payment methods will be displayed as payment method options in the selection data grid on the POS terminal.

To enable quick selection of payment methods, payment method denominations, and payment method groups, assign these functions to the keys of the keyboard connected to the POS terminal. Doing so should allow you to select items by pressing their associated keys. These settings are configured in the Keyboard layouts directory.

Quick selection of payment methods, payment method denominations, and payment method groups can also be implemented by creating additional buttons on the POS terminal screen. These settings are configured in the Screen forms directory.

The Payment methods directory allows you to temporarily disable both payment methods and payment method groups.

Each payment method is assigned a security level. This helps limit access to information about payment methods. The access settings configured for payment methods determine the access rights (permission to view and select) for all of these payment methods on the POS terminal.
