A screen form print format allows you to view (on-screen) or print out data from the grids of any viewing window, selection window, or window specification. Print layouts are used to print out information or view it on screens. A print layout determines the layout of a report or document form.

By default, a screen form print format only uses information from the data grid of the screen form that contains the print format.

If additional information from other screen forms is required in order to generate a print layout, an extra query can be added to the print format. This query gathers additional data to be used to generate the print layout.

For example, the print format for goods received from the Stock-in records data grid gathers data from stock-in record specifications and the Companies and Employees directories using an additional query.
