Sales settings

Revision History

Sales settings allow you to define which menu items can be sold on a given POS terminal and in which department these sales will be registered. If the sold menu items (dishes or goods) belong to the Stock item class, the sales settings also determine from which store the stock items will be deducted and which printer will be used for ticket printing.

Sales settings for menu items are managed in the Sales settings directory.

In one sales setting element, you can only specify one concurrence and one sales department. The sales setting for a given POS terminal can include one or more of these elements.

For example, the sales of prepared dishes are registered in department no. 1, while the sales of items sold individually are registered in department no. 2. Therefore, for each of the POS terminals in the restaurant, you need to configure the sales settings such that department no. 1 matches up to the concurrence for prepared dishes and department no. 2 matches with the concurrence for items sold individually.

Sales settings are configured for each POS terminal in the Devices directory.

Sales settings are used in Tillypad XL POS.
