Each store in the Tillypad XL system must belong to a store group. All the stores in a group share the same rules:

  • for processing stock-in and stock-out operations across stores of the same group;

  • for calculating current on-hand stocks, cost prices and purchase prices;

  • for processing sales records.

Store groups are used to determine which stores stock items can be transferred between using stock movement records.

Store groups are managed in the Store groups directory.

Note

When a new store is added to the Stores directory, its store group must be specified. Once the store has been added to the directory, its store group cannot be changed.
