Certain operations carried out on POS terminals require extra attention, as they can lead to financial losses if they are carried out incorrectly or with malicious intent.
In order to avoid possible losses or misuse, these operations are logged. In Tillypad XL, they are considered to be .
Restricted POS terminal operations include:
deleting menu items (including timed services) from orders,
deleting orders and guest tabs,
modifying guest tabs (number of customers, tables, promotion category, employee),
splitting guest tabs,
reprinting bills,
voiding payments and their specifications.
These operations can be carried out only if authorised by an employee (administrator) with sufficient user privileges. The list of restricted POS terminal operations can be viewed in the operational report. In order for a given restricted POS terminal operation to appear in this report, corresponding parameters must be configured for each applicable POS terminal operating mode.
A reason must be specified for each of the restricted POS terminal operations. The list of possible reasons is specified in the directory.
Information about deletions of order items accompanied by stock deduction is displayed separately in the operational report.
The
operational report is read-only.The information is added to the report automatically when restricted operations (deletion of guest tabs, orders or order items; changes made to guest tabs; splitting guest tabs; reprinting bills and voiding payments) are carried out on POS terminals.
From the operational report window you can open the remote view window as well as windows that have been edited.
