Tables

Some equipment units of your company can be used to provide services to clients. These equipment units, which include restaurant tables, cinema seats, bowling lanes, pool tables, amusement park attractions, etc., are collectively called tables.

There must be free tables in order to serve newly arrived customers. It is therefore important to have quick access to information on free and reserved tables, as well as table statuses. The system allows you to store information on tables, table types and current table statuses, whether they are vacant, occupied or reserved.

Tables can be joined into groups according to any criteria you find useful. It is recommended that you join together tables located in the same room or intended for the same purpose (restaurant tables, pool tables). A table group can have a seating and device layout (room layout), which displays table and device locations in the room (restaurant layout, pool room layout etc.).

To manage tables, table groups, and seating and device layouts, please refer to the Tables directory.

Seating and device layouts are used by Tillypad XL POS. POS terminals display table locations and statuses (vacant, occupied, payment in progress, etc.) and allow POS terminal operators to choose tables on the layout and perform various operations: create and edit guest tabs, allocate bills etc. Current statuses of tables and devices in any room can be displayed on the seating and device layout, which can be opened on the manager's work station using the Monitoring command.

Each table can be assigned a number. Numbers are used in the Restaurant waiter , Restaurant cashier , and Administrator modes of Tillypad XL POS to work with tables and guest tab lists. Numbers are not displayed on the seating layout.

In Tillypad XL POS. The available statuses of standard tables and their corresponding images are contained in the Table types directory. Available device statuses and their images are located in the Software modules directory.

Tables can have short names that will be displayed on seating layouts and guest tab data grids.

A seating layout can be selected on the POS terminal using the screen buttons or the keys on a keyboard, if one is connected. First, run settings in the Screen forms directory, and insert the seating layout on a button on the screen form layout. Second, run settings in the Keyboard layouts directory, and assign the seating layout key to the keyboard layout.

When a guest tab is opened, the user assigns the guest to a table in the table list or on the seating layout opened from the POS terminal. The table number is entered in the guest tab.

The promotion category assigned to the table is automatically allocated to all orders made at this table. This promotion category is automatically included into the additional promotion categories of the order.

The auto-order designated for the table is also included in all guest tabs connected with the table.
