Stock item concurrences

Stock item concurrences

Revision History

A stock item concurrence determines how compound stock items are deducted from stores. This parameter is only applicable to stock items with a recipe. It determines whether to deduct a stock item itself or its ingredients from the stock.

When stock items are added to the specifications of stock-out records, the user can select a Recipe mode. Stock item concurrences are used in the By stock item concurrence mode, which is set by default (among other documents, in the automatically generated sales records). If no concurrence is specified for a stock item with a recipe, the program will deduct its ingredients from the store. However, if a concurrence is specified, the deduction will depend on whether the store supports the concurrence:

  1. If the store does not support the concurrence, the program will deduct ingredients.

  2. If the store supports the concurrence, the program will deduct the stock item itself. This scheme is applicable to situations when a stock item is prepared in one store, but is kept and used in another store.

Stock item concurrences are used for processing outgoing stock records (sales records, stock-out records, stocktaking records, stock adjustment records, stock movement records). In addition, stock item concurrences are used for recalculating stock items.

Stock item concurrences are managed in the Stock item concurrences directory.
