The Print from software modules panel is used to manage the list of software modules from which you can print a given report.
The Print from software modules
Inherit software modules indicates whether a given report should inherit the software modules used by reports.
The field is only present and editable in the windows of reports that were created based on other reports (i.e. if the Based on field is populated on the Properties panel).
You can choose from: (inherited), Yes, or No. Selecting Yes will automatically include all software modules from the baseline (source) report specification into the inherited (target) report specification. If you select No, the software modules from the baseline (source) report specification will not be included into the specification.
Data grid columns:
Report is a report that you can print from the software module.
Software module is a software module from which you can print a report.
If a report is derived (i.e. if the Based on field is populated on the Properties panel), the panel displays the Inherit software modules field.
The context menu of the Print from software modules panel contains the following commands:
(Ins) – adds a software module from which you can print a report.
(F2) – edits software module attributes.
(Del) – permanently deletes the software module from the report specification.
(Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.
– menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.
– menu with the commands to operate the data grid.
To add a new software module to the report specification, please use the entry window. To edit attributes of software modules, use the and editor windows.
A confirm permanent deletion prompt appears when you delete software modules from the report specification.
