The Filter panel displays filter parameters, which correspond to wizard steps. These steps must be executed in order to prepare data to perform a generic task.

Before the filter wizard is launched, all filter parameter panels display the message Not initialised. The filter wizard is run when you select the Test query command in the context menu of the Query panel.
