Additional packages are used to enable new objects such as reports or software modules in the segment database without resetting the program.
In order to select the necessary additional packages and their installations, you must connect to the segment controller.
Before additional packages can be installed, the segment application server should be started.
During the installation process, the segment application server does not stop; therefore, the user can continue working in the standard mode.
Before additional packages can be installed, the segment database should be started.
The segment database version should correspond to the versions of the packages to be installed. If the version of the segment database is out of date, an error message will appear.
If this error occurs, it will be necessary to run a segment update in order to install packages.
The window displays only the Connection parameters panel.
The Connection parameters panel is composed of the following fields:
Server is the segment controller server on which the additional packages will be installed.
Port is the number of the port used to connect to the segment application server.
User is the username used to log in to Tillypad Manager.
Password is the password used to log in to Tillypad Manager.

button opens the window forIn the next step, you must select the additional packages that need to be installed in the segment database. Only packages that have not been installed with the segment controller installation or with any of its updates are available for selection.
The window displays a tree list of packages. Packages previously installed on the segment database are marked with the icon . Additional packages available for selection are marked with a
, and selected additional packages are denoted by a
.
The only packages available to include or exclude in your custom installation are: the recommended and additional packages for the country you have selected and the required, recommended or additional packages associated with other countries.
Package list context menu:
(F8) – includes the selected packages in the set to be installed during installation.
This command is accessible if the additional package has not already been selected for installation.
(F7) excludes the selected updates from those to be installed with the installation.
This command is accessible if the additional package was previously chosen for installation.
