  • – menu item or group was added to the promotion type because its parent (ancestor) was added to it,

  • – menu item or group was removed from the promotion type firsthand,

  • – menu item or group was removed from the promotion type because its parent (ancestor) was removed from it.

Context menu commands:

  • Include (F8) – adds the selected menu items and groups directly to the promotion types.

This command is always available unless the selected menu item or group has already been added directly to the promotion type.

When a menu item or group is added to the promotion type directly (firsthand), all of its child items are also added to the promotion type. However, they are marked with a different icon because they are added automatically in conjunction with their parent groups/items.If some of these subgroups and items have previously been edited and assigned a different status, they will not change when you change their parents.

This command is always available unless the selected menu item or group has already been explicitly removed from the promotion type.

When a menu item or group is excluded from the promotion type directly (firsthand), all of its child items are also removed from the promotion type. However, they are marked with a different icon because they are removed automatically in conjunction with their parent groups/items. If some of the subgroups and items have previously been edited and assigned a different status, they will not change when you change their parents.

  • Inherit (F9) – defaults the status of a selected menu item or group to that of its parent.

This command is available if the selected menu items or groups have previously been assigned a status different from that of their parent.

This command is unavailable when you select the root element, Entire menu.

If the parent group to which the selected menu item or group belongs is included in the promotion type, the selected child menu items and groups will also be added to it.
