Windows used for managing directory contents:
All of these windows are opened from the context menu of the directory.
Selecting the command opens the editor window. In this window, you can edit the attributes of one or more promotion types.
If one item is selected in the data grid, the editor window opens.
The window contains the Properties , Access , and Specification panels.
The availability of the Points settings panel and several additional fields depends on how the fields in the Properties panel are filled out.
The Properties panel contains the following fields:
Name indicates the name of the promotion type. This is a required field.
The name of the promotion type is used in the sales rules.
Description is a text description of the promotion type.
Any additional information can be entered in this field.
Promotion formula denotes the promotion formula that determines how discounts, markups, or bonuses are calculated within the given promotion type. This is a required field.
Please select a promotion formula in the window. If the chosen promotion formula is accompanied by filter steps, the Filter parameters field will display filter parameter panels.
Filter parameters indicates the filter parameter panels that correspond to the filter steps for the specified promotion formula. The Filter parameters field appears only if the Promotion formula field is populated with a value that uses a filter.
Points settings indicates whether the given promotion type uses a point system. This is a required field.
Please choose between Without points and With points. Without points is set by default. If the With points value is selected, the Points settings panel is added to the window.
When you select a promotion formula with a specified filter, the Filter parameters field displays filter parameter panels. The filter parameter values are defined by the user. Before the filter steps are run, the system displays the phrase Not initialised.
It is important to select filter parameter values so that discounts will be calculated correctly.
The editor window opens when two or more items are selected for editing.
The name of the entry window changes to . The window displays the Properties and Access panels as well as a panel with a list of the selected elements.
The panels and fields are similar to those in the editor window.
The entry window is used to add one or more new promotion types to the directory.
You can open the entry window by using the command or by pasting one promotion type from the clipboard.

The entry window opens if you paste two or more items from the clipboard. Then a panel with a list of the selected menu types is added to the window; the name of the window changes to .
