Menu groups directory

Abstract

TfmMenuGroups

The Menu groups directory is used to manage menu groups.

The directory is accessed via the main menu: Menu - Menu groups.

Data grid columns:

  • Name indicates the name of the menu group.

  • Parent group is the menu group, in which the selected group is located.

  • Based on denotes the baseline group used to create the selected menu group.

  • Picture is the picture assigned to the menu group; this picture will represent the menu group on POS terminals.

  • On-screen button format designates the format of the button that will be used to select the menu group on POS terminals.

  • Description is a brief description of the menu group.

  • Selection code is the code that allows you to select the menu group on POS terminals.

  • Index denotes the order of menu group images as they appear on POS terminals.

  • For sale is an attribute that specifies that items from the menu group are available for sale.

  • Exclude from sale is an attribute assigned to a menu group's items to temporarily exclude them from sale.

  • Security level indicates the security level assigned to the menu group.

  • System is a tag identifying system objects.

Context menu of the data grid:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new menu group.

  • Create based on – creates a new menu group on the basis of an existing group.

    This command is only available when one menu group is selected.

  • Edit (F2) – edits the selected menu groups.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes the selected menu groups to the Recycle bin.

  • Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add new menu groups into the directory, use the New menu group or New menu groups entry windows. Attributes of the selected menu groups can be altered using the Menu group or Menu groups editor windows.

When deleting a menu group, the confirm delete prompt appears. When a menu group is deleted, all its nested groups are deleted as well.

The Select menu group window is used to access a menu group from the window fields.
