Stock item categories directory

The Stock item categories directory is used to manage stock item categories.

Stock item categories allow additional parameters to be added to classify stock items. For example, country of origin or vintage year.

Location of the directory: StoreDirectoriesStock item categories.

Data grid columns:

  • Name denotes the name of the stock item category.

  • Description is a brief description of the stock item category.

  • Security level indicates the security level assigned to the stock item category.

  • System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new stock item category.

  • Edit (F2) – edits stock item categories.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes stock item categories to the Recycle bin.

  • Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add stock item categories, use the New stock item category and New stock item categories entry windows. The Stock item category and Stock item categories windows are used for editing these categories.

A confirm deletion prompt appears when you delete stock item categories from the Stock item categories directory.

The Select stock item category window is used to select stock item categories from fields in other windows.
