States panel

The States panel is used to manage states of the device controlled by a given software module.

Data grid columns:

  • Name is the name of the device state.

  • Description is a brief description of the device state.

  • Software module denotes the software module that has these device states defined in its specification.

  • Alignment is the layer alignment method for generating a device state icon.

  • File name designates the name of the file containing an image to indicate the device state.

  • Level is the sequence number of a given layer in the icon indicating the device state.

  • Index is the sequence order in which the image from the file is used as a layer when generating an icon that indicates the device state.

Context menu commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a device state.

  • Edit / View (F2) – edits or displays device state attributes.

  • Delete (Del) – permanently deletes device states.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add a new device state to the software module specification, please use the New device state entry window. To edit attributes of device states, use the Device state and Device states editor windows. To view attributes of device states, use the Device state and Device states viewing windows.

When you delete device states from the software module specification, a confirm permanent deletion prompt appears.
