Filter wizard

Data in the data grid can be filtered by one or more attributes. Data filtering and extraction facilitates searches in large directories or lists.

Filtering can be done in any data grid. Some data grids have an integrated option that allows you to narrow down data by certain parameters even before the data appears.

This selection is carried out using filter wizards. The filter wizard allows you to determine what data will be displayed in the data grids based on the specified filter criteria.

The filter wizard is composed of one or more steps. Each step allows the user to determine values for one attribute.

Pressing < Back allows you to return to the previous filter wizard step. The Next > button opens the next filter wizard window. Pressing the Finish button will open a data grid filtered by the selected attribute values. The Cancel button allows you to close the filter wizard without applying the filter parameters.

Filter wizard step windows contain data grids, drop-down lists, entry boxes, etc., all of which are used to select different values.

In the data grid of the filter wizard step window, you can run the same operations as in the viewing window or selection window.

If you reopen a filter wizard step, you can use previously selected values. To view these values, press the Previously used filters button. The drop-down list can contain up to 10 of the most recently selected values. Newer values will gradually replace the older values.

If a particular filter value has not yet been saved, the drop-down list will also contain the Save filter command.

If a given filter value has already been saved, the Save filter command will be replaced by the Clear filter command.

If the filter has been saved, the filter wizard step is performed by default. To edit or delete the saved value, open the filter wizard step from the Filter panel.
