A business’s divisions and stores are often located in different places. Branches of a small enterprise may be scattered across a city, while the locations of a larger chain might even be spread out across different countries. In order to manage these branches, it is important to have information about where they are located.

This information is presented in Tillypad XL using locations.

Locations are specified for divisions, stores, and devices. For stores and divisions, location is specified directly as one of their attributes. You can specify addresses for the locations of the store and division.

For devices, location is specified through the device loaders to which they are connected. Locations are also specified for employee paging devices.

Locations are managed in the Locations directory.
