As a rule, lunch combos are used to attract customers during the restaurant's quiet hours. Lunch combos are usually offered during lunch time on weekdays.

Lunch combos are sold at a fixed price and contain a limited selection of dishes: one or two items for each category on each day of the week.

Lunch combos are configured in Tillypad XL Manager, but can only be sold in Tillypad XL POS.

When a lunch combo is created, the following elements of the system are used: menu, modifiers, price schedules, day types, and day type settings.

Day type settings are used to offer discounts on particular days of the week, specific dates, or particular times during the day.

Lunch combo configuration

We need to set up a lunch combo so that on every weekday, it would contain a pre-set selection of dishes and a drink of choice. On weekend, the lunch combo needs to be made unavailable.

  1. Create menu items to be included in the lunch combo.

  2. Create a lunch combo modifier and fill in its specification.

  3. Create price schedules.

  4. Create day types.

  5. Create day type settings.
