The domain controller was replaced by the starter.

To ensure data replication between domains, the domain controllers must always be connected to each other. If the connection with the domain controller is lost, data replication with this domain is suspended. After the connection is restored, the replication continues.

Data replication between domains allows you to exchange data between segments that belong to different domains.

Configuring data replication between the North-West and North-East domains

Let us use an example where the central office of the restaurant chain is located in the North-West domain, while the regional office is in the North-East domain. You need to organise transfer of menu changes from the central office to the regional office and transfer of sales data from the regional office. To do so, you need to configure data replication between the North-West and North-East domains.

The North-West domain contains the North-West domain controller that allows you to carry out data replication between the segments that belong to this domain.
