The Stock item panel is displayed if the draft menu item belongs to the Stock item class.

The Stock item panel is used to input data on draft menu items whose sales correspond with the deduction of stock items via sales records.

The information in this panel determines how much of the stock item is deducted when the draft menu item is sold.

The Stock item panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Stock item indicates the name of the stock item that is deducted from the store when the draft menu item is sold (after the draft is activated). This is a required field.

    You can select this value in the Select stock item window.

    The stock item specified here will be included in the sales record specification. Its quantity will depend on the quantity of the menu item sold.

  • Quantity (menu) denotes the quantity of the draft menu item to be added to the order specification. This is a required field.

    It indicates the menu item's quantity, which corresponds to the quantity of the stock item that will be deducted from the store.

    The values in this field and in the Quantity (stock item) field determine the how much of the stock item to deduct from the store when the menu item is sold. The quantity is expressed in the menu units of measurement.

  • Unit (menu) is the menu unit of measurement. This field is read-only. It contains default values.

    For convenience, the name of this field is not displayed in the window. This field displays the value specified in the Unit (menu) field of the Properties panel.

  • Quantity (stock item) denotes the quantity of the stock item to be deducted from the store when the draft menu item is sold. This is a required field.

    The stock item's quantity will be displayed in the unit of measurement used for that item in the Stock items directory.

    The value indicates the quantity of the stock item to be deducted from store when a particular quantity of the associated draft menu item is sold.

    Once the draft is activated, this value will be entered in sales records specifications and in the following operational reports: Stock movement , Stock item turnover , Stock out by stock in , and Stock in by stock out . It will also be presented in viewing windows and print layouts of customisable reports.

  • Unit (stock item) denotes the stock item unit of measurement specified in the Stock item field. For convenience, the name of this field is not displayed in the window.

    This field is automatically populated with the unit of measurement specified for the stock item in the Stock items directory.

    The field is disabled if no stock item is selected. You can select a value in the Select stock item unit of measurement window. The selection window displays only those units of measurement that belong to the same group in the Stock item units of measurement directory as the unit of measurement that is specified for the selected stock item.

    When the stock item is selected, this field is automatically populated with the unit of measurement specified for the stock item in the Stock items directory.

    This value will be entered in sales records specifications and in the following operational reports: Stock movement , Stock item turnover , Stock out by stock in , and Stock in by stock out . It will also be presented in viewing windows and print layouts of customisable reports.

  • Ad hoc recipe is an attribute that indicates whether it is necessary to request information about stock on hand in order to calculate how much of the stock item is deducted from the store when the associated draft menu item is sold. This is a required field.

    Please choose between: No and Yes. By default the No option is set to the field.
