Access panel in the System settings window

The Access panel is used to define the default security level inherited by all object groups, (e.g. stock item groups or ID groups), and by objects that do not belong to a group, (e.g. menu types and sales departments).

Figure 11.20. Access panel

The Access panel is composed of one field:

  • Security level - the default security level allocated to all objects of the system. This security level is inherited by all objects other than those for whom (or for whose parent group) a separate security level has been specified. This is a required field.

Please select a level in the Select security level window.

If a security level for this item or item group is not defined, it will be inherited from its parent item (group) or from the element upon which this object was based. If an object is not inherited, or if its parent item has not been given a specific security level, its security level will be inherited from the system settings.
