Screen form type window

Windows used to manage screen form types in the software module specification:

All of these windows are opened from the context menu of the Screen form types panel.

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. From here, you can modify attributes of one or more screen form types.

If one entry is selected in the data grid, the Screen form type editor window opens.

The window is composed of the Properties and Screen form elements panels.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Software module indicates the software module that uses the given screen form type. This is a required field.

    The drop-down list contains the software modules that were selected when the editor window was opened.

  • Name denotes the name of the screen form type used by the software module. This is a required field.

  • Form class designates the class to which the screen form type belongs. This is a required field.

  • Description is a brief text description of the screen form type.

    Any additional information can be entered in this field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The multiple screen form types editor window opens if two or more entries are selected for editing in the data grid. The name of the editor window changes to Screen form types.

The editor window displays a panel with the names of the selected items. Their corresponding software modules are specified in brackets.

The fields are similar to those in the Screen form type window.

You can open the New screen form type entry window by using the Add command. From here, you can add a new screen form type to the software module specification.

Screen form types of all baseline software modules are automatically added to the software module specification. The names of baseline screen form types appear in the specification in green. These screen form types are read-only. You can view attributes of one or more of baseline screen form types in the viewing window.

If one baseline screen form type is selected in the data grid, the Screen form type viewing window opens.

Selecting Close will close the viewing window.

If two or more of baseline screen form types are selected in the data grid, the Screen form types viewing window opens.
