Connecting module window

Windows used to manage connecting modules in the software module specification:

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. From here, you can modify attributes of one or more connecting modules.

If one connecting module is selected in the data grid, the Connecting module editor window opens.

Window fields:

  • Software module indicates the software module connected to the "connecting" software module. This is a required field.

    The drop-down list contains the software modules that were selected when the editor window was opened.

  • Connecting module denotes the software module to which the selected software module is connected.

    You can select a software module in the Select software module window.

    You can specify a parent device driver to which the child device connects as the connecting device.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The multiple connecting modules editor window opens if two or more entries are selected for editing in the data grid. The name of the editor window changes to Connecting modules. A panel displaying a list of the selected items is added to the editor window. The names of the connected modules appear in brackets.

The fields are similar to those in the Connecting module window.

You can open the New connecting module entry window using the Add command. From here, you can add a new required connecting module to the specification.

The connecting modules of all derived software modules are included in the software module specification. The names of derived connecting software modules are displayed in the specification in green. These modules are read-only within the specification. You can view attributes of one or more derived connecting modules in the viewing window.

If one derived item is selected in the data grid, the Connecting module viewing window opens.

Selecting Close will close the viewing window.

If two or more derived items are selected in the data grid, the Connecting modules viewing window opens.
