Device state window

Windows used for managing device states:

To view attributes of inherited device states, use the Device state and Device states viewing windows.

All of these windows are opened from the States panel data grid.

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. From here, you can modify attributes of one or more device states.

If one entry is selected in the data grid, the Device state window opens.

The editor window contains the Properties and the Condition panels.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Software module designates the software module, the specification of which contains the device status. This is a required field.

  • Name is the name of the device status. This is a required field.

  • Description is a brief description of the device status.

    Any additional information can be entered in this field.

  • Level is the sequence number of the layer in the generated icon that indicates the device status.

  • Alignment indicates how the layer will be aligned during the creation of the image that illustrate the device status.

    You can select one of the following options:

    (empty) Centre,Up,
    Right,Right and up,Down,
    Stretch vertical,Right and down,Stretch right,
    Left,Left and up,Stretch horizontal,
    Stretch up,Left and down,Stretch left,
    Stretch down,Stretch. 
  • Index is the sequence order in which the image from the file is used as a layer when generating an icon that indicates the device status.

  • Image is the name of the file containing the image that indicates the device status. Required field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

If two or more entries are selected in the data grid, the Device states editor window opens. A panel with a list of the selected items is added to the window.

The panels and fields are similar to those in the Device state window.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

You can open the New device state entry window by using the Add command. In this window, you can add a new device state to the software module specification.

The device states of all inherited software modules are automatically added to the software module specification. The names of inherited device states are displayed in the specification in green. Within the specification, these device states are read-only. You can view attributes of one or more inherited device states in the viewing window.

If one inherited device state is selected in the data grid, the Device state viewing window opens.

Selecting Close will close the viewing window.

If two or more inherited device states are selected in the data grid, the Device states viewing window opens.
