You can paste data from the Windows clipboard to the directories and lists in Tillypad XL Manager. If two instances of the program are launched to connect two different databases, you can copy information from one database to the other using the Windows clipboard. The Windows clipboard can also be used to copy data from several different programs into directories and lists within Tillypad XL Manager.

When pasting data from the Windows clipboard into Tillypad XL Manager, it is necessary to specify the relationship between the fields containing the copied data and the fields that will contain the newly created objects. Relationship settings for these fields can be configured in the Clipboard conversion window.

If a data grid could potentially accommodate several different types of pasted items, the Select transferrable object type window will open when an item is inserted into the grid.
