Additional device parameter window

Windows used for managing the Additional device parameters directory contents:

All of these windows are opened from the data grid context menu in the Additional device parameters directory.

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. From here, you can modify attributes of one or more additional device parameters.

If one item is selected in the data grid, the Additional device parameter editor window opens.

The window is composed of the Properties , Access , and Parameters panels.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Name is the name of the additional device parameter. This is a required field.

    Additional device parameters describe characteristics that can belong to different devices. They are included in the device specification. By changing an additional device parameter, you can apply changes to all devices that contain this additional parameter in their specifications.

  • Description is a brief text description.

    Any additional information can be entered in this field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Apply will save data without closing the window. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

If two or more entries are selected in the data grid, the editor window for multiple additional device parameters opens. The name of the editor window changes to Additional device parameters.

The editor window for multiple additional device parameters contains a panel with the selected items, together with the Properties and the Access panels.

The fields are similar to those in the Additional device parameter window.

The entry window allows you to add one or more new additional device parameters to the directory.

You can open the New additional device parameter entry window by using the Add command or by pasting one additional device parameter from the clipboard.
