Price in price schedule window

The Price in price schedule and Prices in price schedule editor windows are used to change the prices or availability of draft menu items in price schedule intervals.

The price editor window is opened by using the Edit command in the Price schedule panel of the draft menu item when one or more price interval cells are highlighted.

If one price interval cell is highlighted, the Price in price schedule editor window will open.

Editor window fields:

  • Price schedule indicates the name of the price schedule which contains the price to be changed. The field is read-only.

The field contains the name of the price schedule that specifies the timetable of the price application.

  • Interval denotes the time interval during which the price applies. The field is read-only.

The field indicates the time intervals during which the specified price applies or during which the menu item is excluded from sale after the draft is activated.

  • Price designates the price of the draft menu item in the price interval. This field contains a drop-down list.

The drop-down list contains the following options:

    • Enter value enables you to enter data in the field (the field switches to data entry mode).

The Enter value option enables you to enter a sale price for the menu item during the selected time interval.

    • Not for sale – when this option is selected, Not for sale will be displayed in the selected cell of the price schedule.

As a result, the menu items with prices determined in the price schedule are made available for sale within the specified time intervals.

    • Base price is the price of the menu item.

Within the selected time interval the menu item is offered at the price specified in the Price field of the Properties panel in the menu item window.

The draft menu item price set for any price schedule interval is the selling price without any discounts or markups. The price is valid only during this time interval. This price can either correspond exactly to the base price (specified for the draft menu item in the Properties panel) or be higher or lower.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The window for editing multiple price intervals opens when two or more price intervals are selected in the price intervals data grid. Price intervals from the same price schedule can be selected simultaneously, even if they apply to different menu items.

In this case, a panel with a list of the selected price intervals is added to the multiple price editor window.

The fields are similar to those in the Price in price schedule editor window.
