The Format types panel is intended to manage the format types used by the software module.

The format types included in the software module specification determine which software module print formats can be used by the device controlled by this module.

Format types included in the software module specification determine which software module print formats will be available for selection in the device window controlled by this software module.

Data grid columns:

  • Name indicates the name of the format type included into the software module specification.

  • Software module designates the software module, the specification of which contains the format type.

  • Internal name denotes the internal name of the format type.

  • Description is a description of the format type.

  • Header is the header of the field. Module print format selection is available here.

  • Panel header is the header of the panel on which the Select software module print format field will be displayed.

  • Index denotes the place of the field on the panel.

  • Header (conn. device) is the header of the field where you can select a module print format in the connected device window.

  • Index (conn. device) is the place of the field in the order of fields on the connected device window panel.

  • Panel header (conn. device) designates the connected device panel header that will display the Select software module print format field.

  • Required indicates whether you must select a software module print format.

Context menu commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new format type to the software module specification.

  • Edit / View (F2) – edits or displays attributes of format types in the software module specification.

  • Delete (Del) – permanently deletes format types from the software module specification.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add a new format type to the software module specification, use the New format type entry window. To edit format type attributes, use the Format type and Format types editor windows.

When you delete format types from the software module specification, a confirm permanent deletion prompt appears.

You can select a format type in the Select software module print format type window.

Format types from the software module specification are used to form the select software module print formats fields and panels in the Device window.

A field for selecting software module print formats is generated for each format type in the device window. These fields are displayed on one or more panels. Each of these panels corresponds to the unique panel header in the software module print format types specification.

Format types are displayed in the tree list in the Software module print formats directory as child items of software module items and as parent elements of software module print format items.
