Connecting modules panel in the Software module window

A device can be connected to another device as its child device. For example, a waiter's pager should be connected to the paging base station. A device can be connected to another device if the software module of its parent device is added to the connecting module specification of the desired device.

The Connecting modules panel is used to manage connecting software modules. It contains a tabular list of connecting modules:

Data grid columns:

  • Software module indicates the software module.

  • Connecting module is the software module that connects to the current software module.

Context menu commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a connecting software module to the software module specification.

  • Edit / View (F2) – edits or displays the connecting software modules.

  • Delete (Del) – permanently deletes the selected software modules from the connecting software modules specification.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add a new connecting software module, use the New connecting module entry window. To edit attributes of software modules, use the Connecting module or Connecting modules editor windows. To view the connecting software module, use the Connecting module and Connecting modules viewing windows.

When you delete connecting software modules from the specification, a confirm permanent deletion prompt appears.
