Required software module panel

Windows used to manage required software modules in the software module specification:

All of these windows are opened from the data grid in the required software module specification.

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. In this window, you can modify attributes of one or more required software modules.

If one required software module is selected in the data grid, the Required software module editor window opens.

Window fields:

  • Software module indicates the primary software module. This is a required field.

    The drop-down list contains the software modules that were selected when the editor window was opened.

  • Required software module is the software module required for the operation of the primary software module. This is a required field.

    You can select a software module in the Select software module window.

    A device driver, code chart, or repository file used by the primary module can be specified as the required software module.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

When two or more required software modules are selected for editing, the multiple editor window opens. The name of the editor window changes to Required software modules. A panel displaying a list of the selected items is added to the editor window. The names of primary software modules appear in brackets.

The fields are similar to those in the Required software module window.

You can open the New required software module entry window using the Add command. From here, you can add a new required software module to the specification.

The required software modules of all inherited software modules are added to the software module specification. The names of inherited required software modules are displayed in the specification in green. These modules are read-only within the specification. You can view attributes of one or more required software modules in the viewing window.

The Required software module viewing window opens if one derived required software module is selected in the data grid.

Selecting Close will close the viewing window.

The Required software modules viewing window opens when two or more derived required software modules are selected in the data grid.
