Document numbers for records that accompany store or sales operations can be either generated automatically or entered manually. Number generators are used to automatically generate document numbers. A number generator is a rule for generating numbers for documents of the same type or other objects of the system (ports, IDs). The number generator sets the pattern of the number. When generating a document number, the number generator runs a self-contained SQL query.

Number generators determine automatic number generation rules for objects of the same type. When generating the current document number, the number generator runs a self-contained SQL query.

Number generators are managed in the Number generators directory.

The directory contains both system number generators and those created by the user based on the system number generators.
