The Layout panel is used to assign system functions to keyboard keys.

The panel displays a keyboard design window that shows a keyboard format.

The context menu on the panel contains the following commands to assign functions to keyboard keys and to cancel the assignment:

You can assign a function to a keyboard key in the Element editor window.

After you have assigned a function to a keyboard key, it displays an icon that symbolizes this function. If you hover your mouse over such keyboard key, a tooltip will be displayed on the keyboard format with the name of the assigned function.
