IDs directory

The IDs directory is used to manage ID groups and IDs for customers and employees.

The directory window contains of IDs and ID groups. Only ID groups can be root elements of the list. However, both ID groups and individual IDs can be child elements of the list.

The data grid of the IDs directory displays only ID attributes and names of ID groups. You can view attributes of ID groups in the ID groups directory.

Location of the directory: AdvancedDirectoriesIDs.

Data grid columns:

  • Name is the name of an ID or an ID group.

  • Description is a brief description of the ID.

  • Type denotes the ID type.

  • Code is the ID code.

  • Start date is the start date of the ID’s validity period.

  • End date is the end date of the ID’s validity.

  • Mask is an attribute to indicate whether or not an ID mask is applied.

  • Promotion category is a promotion category allocated to the ID bearer.

  • Security level denotes the security level assigned to the user.

  • Suspended is an attribute showing that the ID has been suspended.

  • System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu of the directory contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new ID.

  • Add group (Alt+Ins) – adds a new ID group.

  • Edit (F2) – edits attributes of IDs and ID groups.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes partners and partner groups from the directory to the Recycle bin.

  • Add sequentially (Shift+Ctrl+Ins) – sequentially adds two or more IDs of the same type.

  • IDs application – opens the IDs application window, which displays information on how selected IDs have been used by other objects of the system.

    The command becomes available when you select one or more IDs.

  • Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add new IDs to the directory, use the New ID , New IDs , and Add IDs sequentially entry windows. To edit ID attributes, use the ID and IDs editor windows.

To add new ID groups to the IDs and ID groups directories, use the New ID group and New ID groups windows. To edit attributes of ID groups, use the ID group and ID groups editor windows.

When you delete IDs and ID groups, a confirmation prompt appears.

The Select ID window is used to select directory items from windows of other directory, while the Select ID group window is used to select ID groups.
