Windows used to manage price schedule intervals:

All of these windows are opened from the context menu of the Specification panel data grid.

The Price schedule interval editor window is used to change start and end times of intervals set in the price schedule specification. Selection of multiple intervals for editing is disabled.

The window is opened by using the Edit command from the Intervals menu in the context menu when one interval or one or more prices within an interval are selected.

Window fields:

  • Interval start indicates the interval start time. This is a required field.

  • Interval end denotes the end time of the interval. This is a required field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The New price schedule interval entry window allows you to add a new time interval to the price schedule specification.

The window is opened by using the Add command in the Intervals menu within item specification context menu (either in the Specification panel in the Price schedule window or in the Specification panel in the Sales rule window).

Figure 4.184. Interval entry window

When opening the entry window in the Interval start field, the default value is Open business day, i.e. whatever time the business day is to open. The Interval end field displays the Close business day value, which corresponds to the time when the business day is closed.

The fields are similar to those in the Price schedule interval window.

Guidelines on how to fill in the Interval start and Interval end fields

Figure 4.185. Interval start drop-down list

The Interval start field has a drop-down list with the following commands:

  • Open business day – whatever time the business day is opened.

  • Same day – indicates that the time entered is before midnight in the day when the business day was opened.

  • Next day – indicates that the time entered is in the 24-hour period following that in which the business day was opened.

Figure 4.186. Interval end

The Interval end field has a drop-down list with the following commands:

  • Close business day – whatever time the business day is closed.

  • Same day – indicates that the time entered is before midnight in the day when the business day was opened.

  • Next day – indicates that the time entered is in the 24-hour period following that in which the business day was opened.

If the interval start or end time is specified as being in the same day (the day of opening the business day), you should select the Same day option in the drop-down list of the corresponding field. Interval start and end times are displayed in the HH:MM:SS format, for example, 15:00:00.

Figure 4.187. Time entered in the same day format

If the interval start or end time is specified as being in the next day (following the day of opening the business day), you should select the Next day option in the drop-down list of the corresponding field. In this case the Next day message in a gray colour will appear in the entry field. The necessary interval start or end time should be entered to the right of the message.

The number of columns used to represent an interval depends on the values entered in the Interval start and Interval end fields.

If in the Interval start field the interval is defined as being Open business day, while in the Interval end field it is defined as being Entire business day header.

Figure 4.189. All day interval

If in the Interval start field the interval is defined as being Open business day, while in the Interval end field there is a specific time (i.e. the interval is defined as being from Opening time to a specific time), there will be two columns. The first will represent the period from the opening time up to the start of the interval, and the second will represent the period from the start of the interval onwards.

Figure 4.190. Interval from the opening time to a specific time and from a specific time to the close of the business day.

If in the Interval start field a specific time is entered, while in the Interval end field the Close business day is set (i.e. the interval is defined as being from a specific time to Close of business day), then a single column will be created. In the header of this column there will be the start time of the interval.

Figure 4.191. Specific time to close of business day interval

If specific times are entered in both the Interval start field and the Interval end field (i.e. the interval is defined between two specific times), this interval will be represented by two columns. The header of the first column will display the start time of the interval.
